The companion instrument to the Kauer Banshee baritone in the same custom metalflake finish — this is the standard 24.75" scale version, the platform in its native configuration, fitted with a three-pickup TV Jones complement that puts it in genuinely different sonic territory from the two-pickup baritone. Same deep purple and tangelo orange metalflake finish, same Spanish mahogany through-neck construction, same wenge fingerboard and TonePros gold hardware. Different instrument.

The Banshee is the reverse-bodied model that first put Kauer on the map — built from solid Spanish mahogany to create a light, well-balanced tone monster. The 24.75" scale and all-mahogany construction produce a warm, sustaining, harmonically complex voice that the neck-through construction extends into a seamless upper register with no heel obstruction. Every Kauer is PLEK'd in house, ensuring fret precision and playability consistency that most builders at this price point cannot match.

The pickup configuration is the defining specification of this instrument. Two TV Jones Powertrons — one at the neck, one at the bridge — flank a TV Jones Magnatron in the middle position, all in gold covers. The Powertron is TV Jones's interpretation of the original DeArmond Dynasonic single-coil design — the pickup that defined the sound of early Gretsch guitars before the Filter'Tron arrived, producing a clear, bright, detailed character with the attack and articulation of a single-coil and the output of a full-size pickup. The Magnatron in the middle position is TV Jones's hum-cancelling RWRP unit designed to blend naturally with Powertrons in positions 2 and 4.

Three TV Jones pickups on a mahogany neck-through Firebird-style platform is a specific and unusual combination — the warmth and sustain of the construction balanced by the clarity and articulation of the pickups. Standard C mahogany neck at .89" at the first fret and 1.03" at the twelfth, wenge fingerboard with mother-of-pearl keystone inlays at 12" radius, 22 frets, 1.70" nut width, Kluson banjo-style tuners, TonePros Tune-o-matic and stop bar in gold. Action set at 2/32" on both strings at the twelfth fret. At 6 lbs 13 oz this is a light, resonant instrument. Near mint condition throughout. Mono gig bag included.
