This Iconic Guitar was a new one for me. Being a Jazzmaster freak, I gave it a run through with a touch of skepticism. I wondered if it could be all that good at the price point.

My curiosity paid off. The guitar is a winner. It is light, sets up perfectly and plays great with the sound you'd expect from the classic offset design.

I dig the selection of upgrades - the bound rosewood board, the block inlays and the quartersawn nitro tinted maple neck feels fantastic. The body is a classic 3 tone burst, and the quality finish feels light as opposed to the original Fender models that would carry this feature set - those were mostly sprayed in poly and have that thick, sticky feel.

The Lollar Black Bobbin pickups hit the mark as well.

The wiring is neatly done and quality components are used throughout.

Mastery components are used for the bridge and tremolo - a great add.

The guitar has been played a bit, but frets are in excellent condition with little wear. The truss rod was checked and is effective for future adjustment needs. There are no issues or repairs.

There are two scratches on the front of the guitar. It appears that someone tried to rub this area out just a tiny bit. I'd say this one would be perfect for a relic project, but it will also just react over time to regular play, thanks to the lighter finish.

Comes with a really nice case that I assume is original to the guitar. Tremolo arm included.
