The QM2 is Ibanez's own in-house pickup design used in their higher-end Prestige instruments, voiced to complement the fast, articulate playing character the S Series platform is known for. The neck reading at 7.92k is correctly balanced against the matching bridge unit we also have listed, reading 9.23k — together they make a matched original pair pulled from the same guitar. Warm and clear in the neck position with enough definition to avoid the muddiness that lower-output neck humbuckers can suffer under gain.
