This 1965 Guild M-65 3/4 Freshman is a rare, one-owner vintage gem—complete with its original case and original sales receipt from nearly 60 years ago. Compact yet full of character, the 3/4-scale body makes it a perfect choice for smaller players, travel use, or collectors seeking something truly unique from Guild’s golden era.

Built in Hoboken, New Jersey, this M-65 features a fully hollow mahogany body with a warm, resonant voice, paired with a comfortable mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. The original Guild single-coil pickup delivers that classic, articulate mid-century tone, perfect for jazz, blues, and vintage rock.

The guitar remains in remarkably original condition, showing honest playwear that gives it some very cool character. The inclusion of the original purchase receipt adds historical value and collector appeal, making this not just a player’s instrument but also a piece of Guild history.

Professionally inspected and set up, it’s ready for the stage, studio, or display.  No repairs or issues.  The frets are in excellent condition, and the Brazilian rosewood fretboard is gorgeous.

These are great couch guitars.  They're small and comfortable to play while slouching around the house, and there's enough volume from the fully hollow body to enjoy without even plugging it in.  Its a great travel guitar too!

There are two shipping cost options for purchases made on our site for these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas.  Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air.  Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
