Guild 1987 GF-50-R AKA F050A11 w/ Original Case, Very Good

This 1987 Guild GF-50-R in natural is in very good condition. It comes with the original Guild case. At 5 lbs 8 oz, it feels lightly built for a Guild.  It plays perfectly and sounds fantastic!

The GF-50-R was Guild's professional-grade jumbo offering in the 1980s, featuring an ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays, rosewood bridge, and multi-ply binding on both the solid spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. The mahogany neck has a C profile with a 12" fretboard radius, 25 5/8" scale, 1-11/16" nut width, and slim-to-moderate neck thickness (.794" at the 1st fret, .913" at the 10th). The back of the neck has been steel-wooled down to the wood.  The original tortoiseshell pickguard is in place. Tuners are original Grovers with no headstock modifications. The nut and saddle are spec'd as bone by Guild; ours are brown in color and we are not sure if they are bone or a substitute. The bridge and bridge plate are original. There is no pickup system. The finish is original throughout.

There are some finish scratches on the top — see photos. The fretboard is in excellent condition with no repairs. Frets are in very good condition. The truss rod is functional with room for future adjustment. We set the guitar up here in the shop with the action a bit under 3/32" on the 1st string and a bit under 3/32" on the 6th string at the 12th fret. It comes with a Guild case in very good condition, which we assume is the original case.
