Guild 1982 D-55 NT Restored w/ Hard Case, Good

This Guild 1982 D-55 in natural is in good condition.  This one has been played, and someone did a lot of work to restore it.

The D-55 was Guild's flagship dreadnought, and this 1982 example carries the hallmarks you'd expect from that era: a solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and a bound ebony fretboard with mother of pearl block inlays accented by abalone triangles. The three-piece mahogany/walnut/mahogany neck is a detail specific to this model and period, and the original Guild tuners are still in place. The finish is original and has aged naturally.

The neck has been reset and it has been refretted.  There are repaired cracks on the top, and a crack repair on the back at the bottom/lower bout. What appears to be a stress crack near the headstock on bass side of the neck is simply a finish crack, we checked  — see the photos. The nut has been reglued but is original bone. An undersaddle pickup system has been added, and the rear strap button doubles as the output jack. The saddle material is plastic and its originality is unknown. The original black pickguard is intact. Fretboard is in very good shape. Action is a low and even 3/32" on both the treble and bass sides at the 12th fret.

The non-original Warwick hard case is in good condition and has no odor. No accessories or documentation are included.
