The Greer Mini Chief 3 Watt amplifier head delivers boutique low-watt tube tone in a compact package, perfect for players seeking touch-sensitive dynamics at manageable volumes. Despite its small footprint, the Mini Chief is known for its raw, harmonically rich breakup that responds beautifully to pick attack and guitar volume adjustments.
Designed for players who want authentic cranked-amp feel without ear-shattering levels, the Mini Chief excels in studio recording, home practice, and mic’d live setups. With simple controls and hand-wired craftsmanship, this amp captures the Greer ethos of tone-first design. Its single-ended 3-watt output provides warm cleans at lower levels and transitions smoothly into creamy overdrive when pushed.
Collectors and tone chasers appreciate the Mini Chief for its boutique build quality, reliability, and distinctive voice. It pairs perfectly with efficient cabs or smaller vintage-style speaker setups, making it an ideal choice for players who want boutique tube tone with practical usability.
At Mahar’s Vintage Guitars, all amps are fully inspected, verified, and photographed in detail so you can buy with confidence. We loved playing through this little beast. We tested the tubes to make sure you're 100% good to go.

Shipping policy:
When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping. These cases require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery - this will be very simple with this amp. We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure. Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently. Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping. We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
