The Goya G-10 Classical Guitar from 1964 is a beautifully crafted vintage nylon-string instrument built during the golden era of Swedish Goya production by Levin. Known for their exceptional craftsmanship, Goya classical guitars from this period were favored by folk, classical, and pop players for their clear, articulate tone and superb playability.
This G-10 features a solid spruce top with birch back and sides, a mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard, all wrapped in elegant simplicity that reflects Scandinavian design excellence. The sweet, balanced voice and comfortable neck profile make this guitar an ideal choice for both fingerstyle and classical players seeking vintage tone with timeless charm.
What makes this example special is its state of preservation, plus it comes with the original case, original hang tag, and even the original Goya polish bottle—rare finds that enhance its collectibility and historical appeal. Perfect for vintage guitar enthusiasts, collectors, or musicians looking for an authentic 1960s classical guitar with provenance.
As stated, the guitar is in excellent condition. The frets look perfect, which isn't necessarily remarkable for a vintage nylon string guitar I suppose, but worth mention. You can generally tell how much a guitar has been used by looking at the top edges of the headstock for signs of use, wear from rubbing in the case, or from the inevitable bonk here and there. This headstock is clean!
There is one area that was glued, where the two pieces of the top come together and join the sides. There is also a sizeable dent and some finish spidering on the top. We looked inside the guitar in this area and did not find signs that this is a crack that goes all the way through. Other than that, the guitar is quite clean.
The instrument plays well and sounds good. It isn't mind blowing, but it is a fun guitar to play and a cool package as well.
