This is the perfect Gibson R9, harking from the Tom Murphy era, built in 2000.
The condition, the crazy top, and the weight make this one special. It weighs under 8 pounds, 10 ounces.
Nobody has goofed with the pots, the pickups, the pickup covers - nothing has been altered.
The frets are perfect. The guitar has seen little play. There is just a small nick on the back edge of one corner of the headstock, the area that always shows just how much a guitar has been out and about. The back of the neck and body are clean as a whistle, and the top is as well.
The guitar plays beautifully as well. It was simple to set it up perfectly, and the truss rod has room for future neck relief adjustment.
There were no COAs during this period, but there is some other paperwork in the case: Hang tags, warranty paper with the model and serial number, hang tags, the truss rod wrench, truss rod and pickup adjustment instructions, Gibson customer care guide, and the original Guitar Center price tag.

There are two shipping cost options for purchases made on our site for these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas. Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air. Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground. For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
