The Gibson J-200N (1968) in natural blonde finish is a highly collectible vintage acoustic from Gibson’s iconic “King of the Flat-Tops” line. With its jumbo body, solid spruce top, and maple back and sides, this J-200 delivers the powerful projection and shimmering highs that made it the choice of legends like Elvis Presley, Pete Townshend, and Emmylou Harris.

If you go through my listings you'll not that I spare you a certain statement that you'll find all over other guitar listings: "This is the best sounding (make and model of guitar) we've ever had."  Well, this is the best sounding 1960s J-200 I've ever had.  It is a looker too!

The guitar plays perfectly with amazing action.  The neck set is spot on, the frets are full, and there is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.

The bridge is altered, but in a positive way and it was done very professionally.  The adjustable saddle was removed.  A piece of rosewood was added to accommodate a fixed saddle.  The color of the rosewood is different enough to see if you look closely, but the work is impeccable.  The saddle is tall, contributing to the killer tone of the guitar.

There are no other changes or repairs.  There is playwear - just enough to add to the breathtaking mystique of this amazing guitar.

This example from 1968 remains in exceptional condition, accompanied by its original case and factory hang tag, a rare bonus for collectors. The ornate moustache bridge, crown inlays, and deluxe appointments highlight Gibson’s craftsmanship of the era, while the large-bodied tone offers a commanding presence whether strummed, picked, or played in an ensemble.

With its warm lows, brilliant top end, and unmistakable aesthetic, the J-200N continues to define the standard for jumbo acoustics. There are multiple shipping cost options for purchases made on our site.  Select Ground, 3 Day, 2 Day, or Next Day Air Saver.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
