This Fender TL-62 Telecaster Custom is a Crafted in Japan, factory Bigsby model from the early 2000s.

What a cool guitar!  Yes, it has seen some work.  The neck pickup is a US made Epiphone mini humbucker.  This is a great combo with the upgraded Fender 60s reissue bridge pickup.  It did require alteration of the neck pickup cavity.

The electronics have been nicely upgraded.  The entire control plate is from Tribute Guitar Works, a northern NH based shop that does some really great work.  I played the guitar the other day, but I honestly cannot remember what the 5 way switch does as I type this description, but suffice it to say that you get a lot of flexibility with the updated setup, and the quality of the parts is a huge sound upgrade as well.

There is light wear on the frets, some very light pitting in the lower register - nothing that is in need of attention.  The neck is straight and the truss rod has room for future neck relief adjustments.

Overall, a killer guitar that will be a perfect performance guitar for someone out there.
