Fender 1964 Mustang Duo-Sonic Bridge Pickup Brantley Rewind

This is a Pre CBS, 1964 Fender Mustang/Duo-Sonic bridge pickup with black bottom — professionally rewound by Tom Brantley, reading 5.84k, excellent condition. The pickup was dead when it arrived here.  Tom Brantley is one of the most respected vintage pickup rewinders working today, known specifically for his work on Fender pickups from the 1950s and 1960s and his attention to period-correct wire gauge, wind count, and technique. A Brantley rewind on an original 1964 black-bottom bobbin means the period-correct physical structure of the pickup — the original flatwork, magnets, and bottom plate — is intact, with fresh winding that restores the pickup to correct specification. At 5.84k this is correctly wound for the bright, clear, snappy Mustang/Duo-Sonic single-coil character that players and collectors value in these pickups. The original black bottom confirms 1964 production — the correct and correct-era dating detail for serious Mustang and Duo-Sonic restorers. Ready to install.
