Another installment in our Offset Onslaught!

This '59 Jazzmaster is all original with play wear that emphasizes its awesomeness.  A previous owner clearly played the all over the neck.  The frets show remarkably even wear throughout.  Frets are original and will need a refret at some point, but the guitar is definitely playable as-is.

the slimmer 59 neck feels fantastic and has no truss rod issues.  The logo shows wear that is equal to that seen elsewhere on the guitar.

The body is free of repairs, overspray or other modifications.  There is an area on the back where an old coiled cable laid under it in the case, reacting with the finish.

Under the pickguard is the pencil mark, "Mell", as seen on others from the period - the moniker of the Fender employee who wired the guitar.  Original pickups and pots all remain in original condition.

A gold 'guard is a great thing - they never shrink, something that can't be said for Jazzmasters from late '59 on.  They differentiate guitars as being from the first 18ish months of Jazzmaster production.  The shrinkage of later nitrate pickguards causes all kinds of issues - screws pull in, sometimes cracking the body where pickguard screw holes are nearer to the edge of the control cavity.  Shrinking pickguards tend to creep up the bridge bushings, affecting playability.  They also squeeze pickup covers, potentially causing damage to the covers or the pickups themselves.  These issues will never arise with this guitar!

The original tweed case is included and is in great shape.

Needless to say, the tone of this amazing instrument is sublime.  Inherent in the bridge design is a little wonkyness, something that is easily dealt with by adding a Mastery or other aftermarket bridge for playability's sake.
