Here we have a Greg Fessler Masterbuilt Stratocaster from 2004, one of a limited run for the 50th anniversary of the first Strat.

These guitars are outstanding, and they've become highly collectable as such.

Built with pretty painstaking attention to detail to mirror a first-year Stratocaster. An original version is now out of sight, price-wise, so in order to get a sense for the feel of one - this is the ticket.

This example weighs in at just 7 pounds, 4 ounces.  It is in the same condition it was in when purchased new.  You can see a sticker on the bridge where the trem arm screws in.  Fender places those on the bridge to retain a spring and ball bearing in the bridge that holds the trem arm.  It is still there, 20 years after the guitar was built.

The frets show that we played the guitar after restringing and setting it up in the shop.

It is a fantastic playing guitar.  It set up very nicely with little effort.  There is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments - we check this on every guitar.

The pickups are lower in output, as they are in 50s Fenders, producing a different tone than guitars from the mid 60s, and certainly different (in my opinion, much better) than high-output replacement pickups.  There is an openness, and a different frequency range that is really pleasing to the ear - one of the reasons why people chase 50s Fenders.

The relic work is nicely done - not over the top at all.  Its just about right, looking a lot like a 50s guitar that just came out from under the bed.

There are no changes, repairs, or issues with the guitar whatsoever.

There is no certificate included, unfortunately.  The certs were lost by the original owner.  The original "poodle" case is included, as is the strap, trem arm, bridge cover, some paperwork, and the original purchase receipt.  These guitars were delivered with a plastic molded case as well.  That case is not included here.
