Fender 1966 Telecaster Blonde w/ Original Case, Excellent

This Fender 1966 Telecaster in Blonde is in excellent condition with all original parts, a pro refret, and a bridge pickup rewind by Jim Rolph.  It set up perfectly with little effort and has room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustment.  This is a killer playing guitar!

The neck is dated April 3, 1966, pinning this firmly in the mid-CBS transition era. The rosewood board with pearloid dot inlays and a 1-5/8" nut width are consistent with the period, and the Kluson Deluxe tuners carry the Patent No. D-69400 stamp — the correct marking for this window. Potentiometer codes read 304-6617, dating to the 17th week of 1966, which aligns tightly with the neck date. The bridge pickup is dated to 1966 as well. Ash body with a blonde finish, and at 7 lbs 9.5 oz it carries well for an ash Tele.

The finish, neck, body, and neck plate are all original. The bridge pickup has been professionally rewound by Jim Rolph — solders were changed for the rewind.  The original bridge saddles are included, with Music City repro saddles currently installed. The pickguard is original and in very good shape with slight shrinkage. The frets have been replaced, done cleanly with no repairs to the board. Neck condition is excellent with no repairs. Action is a low and even 2/32" on both the first and sixth strings at the 12th fret. Neck thickness runs .837" at the first fret and .937" at the 12th — a comfortable C profile. Both original pots and all wiring are in place and unaltered aside from the pickup rewind.

Comes in the original Fender case, which is in very good condition with no smell.
