This 2011 Epiphone Emperor II “Joe Pass” is a beautifully crafted archtop guitar designed in honor of legendary jazz guitarist Joe Pass. Finished in a warm Sunburst and built with a laminated maple body, this model delivers the smooth, articulate tones favored by jazz, blues, and swing players worldwide.
The Emperor II features a select spruce top, bound body and neck, and a comfortable slim-taper neck profile for effortless playability. Its dual Epiphone humbuckers produce warm, rich tones with exceptional clarity, while the floating bridge and gold hardware add a touch of elegance.
This guitar is in mint condition and comes complete with its original Epiphone hardshell case. Whether you’re a collector, a jazz enthusiast, or simply looking for a versatile hollow-body with professional performance, the Emperor II “Joe Pass” offers timeless style, premium craftsmanship, and incredible value.
The guitar was clearly never used. It still has the protective foam sheet under the bridge from when it originally shipped from Epiphone. We set it up and checked the truss rod to make sure it is 100% good to go. With a real setup, these guitars play amazingly well for the price point.
