Another clean addition to the Electro Harmonix effects pedals section here at Mahar's Guitars!
By 1977 Electro-Harmonix had established itself as the most prolific and adventurous effects pedal company in New York City — the Big Muff Pi, the Small Stone phaser, the Memory Man delay, and the Electric Mistress flanger had all appeared in the preceding years, and the company was at the peak of its first era of production before its closure in the early 1980s.
The Ten Band Graphic Equalizer is a classic tone shaping tool built for simplicity and precision — ten sliders covering different frequency bands give easy control over bass, mids, and treble, along with a +/-15dB volume range, working effectively with guitars, basses, and keyboards. This is a first-year example, produced in 1977 at the beginning of the unit's four-year production run, in excellent original condition.
The big-box EHX format of this era — the large enclosure with the characteristic graphics and slider layout — is the visual identity of the most collectible period of Electro-Harmonix production. The beauty of this unit is its simplicity — ten bands of EQ with a +/-15dB range, smooth faders, and straightforward operation that works as effectively in a studio rack chain as it does on a pedalboard. Excellent original condition throughout.
