This 1970s Aria AC-8 Classical Guitar, built at the Tatsuno, Japan factory, is a beautifully preserved example of the high-quality craftsmanship that defined Aria's golden era. With serial number 2, this instrument represents one of the earliest examples of this model—making it both a collector’s gem and a stage-worthy classical guitar.
The guitar is in near-mint condition, and while it certainly isn't a high-end guitar, it sounds much better than you might think. If you want to add a nylon string guitar to your stable without breaking the bank, this is your ticket.
Crafted with a very light, laminated cedar top, likely paired with rosewood back and sides (common to this model), the AC-8 offers warm, rich tonal character with excellent projection and sustain. The slotted headstock, traditional rosette, and aged natural finish give it an elegant vintage aesthetic, while the comfortable neck profile and responsive fingerboard make it a joy to play for both classical and fingerstyle guitarists.
This guitar comes with an original hard shell case, making it a complete and ready-to-enjoy vintage package. Whether you’re a collector of Japanese-made guitars or a player seeking vintage classical tone with heritage and history, this Aria AC-8 from the Tatsuno factory is a rare opportunity.
