The Ibanez Destroyer has destroyed all pricing expectations and become an iconic copy of one of the most iconic electric guitars.
This example has seen some play, and some changes, which I'll detail below. If you want one you can play, this is the one for you!
Let's start with the original stuff!
Importantly, the pickups and pots are original. The bridges are as well.
Two of the original tuners are broken, which is typical for the particular Gotoh make. The tuners that are on the guitar now are 70's Gotohs with the same design and footprint, missing just the star label on the back that the originals bear.
The pickguard, truss rod cover, pickup rings, pickguard and frets are all original. The finish is as well of course, with no overspray or touch ups. There are a fair quantity of dings.
The tuners were once replaced with Kluson style replicas, leaving extra holes in the back of the headstock. There was once a Gibson style truss rod cover on the guitar. The original is returned. A screw hole from the changed part is visible. The knobs are changed.
The original frets have been worked on. They weren't seated super cleanly from the factory. Frets 1, 6, 7 and 10 are not fully seated all the way across the fretboard. However, they play great now thanks to a clean leveling and crown..
This is a great sounding guitar as well - these Ibanez pickups really are quality.
Comes with a Gibson explorer case.
