This 330 has the distinction of being the 666th guitar that has crossed our threshold since reopening during the depths of COVID lockdown.  Don't let the inventory number fool you, it is actually heavenly!

The instrument sets up well and plays like a dream.  Frets appear to be replaced, show some use, but have lots of life left for years of play.

1965 was a year of transition for Gibson.  Hardware changed from nickel to chrome.  This guitar has nickel hardware.  The nut width on Gibsons switched from 1 11/16" to 1 9/16".  This guitar has the 1 9'16" nut.

I've seen a fair quantity of these transitional nickel/narrow nut 330s over the years, and most have had their valuable, nickel ABR-1 removed, stolen to put on another guitar.  The ABR1 is original here, as is all the hardware.

At some point, someone put a humbucker in the bridge position, slightly enlarging that pickup hole in the top.  The original P-90 is back in the guitar.  It covers this small route, and the wire is spliced halfway to the pots.  The neck pickup and pots are unmolested.

Included is an original hardshell case, another valuable part of this package.  The case is correct for the ES-335 as well, and most 330s have the chipboard cases that tend to fall apart.

You'll love the tone and feel of this piece!
