SOLD - Fender Jazz Bass 1967
$0.00All the superlatives apply here - I can almost hear you citing them! This one is just in from a collection of four basses. Watch for the others coming soon.
This '67 Jazz Bass is 100% original with no issues and a great playing neck. Everything on the instrument makes it a 1966 with the exception of the bridge pickup, which is dated 1-3-67. The neck pickup is dated 10-24-66. The serial number, neck heel, and pots are all dated 1966.
The bass shows enough wear to show that it has seen some love, but that it has been well cared for. The case mirrors this, displaying wear and damage to the logo, but all hinges and latches are functional.
While CBS era instruments are sometimes criticized by collectors, this bass is an example that defies such commentary. The body and neck are nitro lacquered, which is the case for Fenders up to 1968. The neck binding and blocks are just so cool - features that were added in 1965 and '66.
All in all, this is a fine addition to any collection, and a player as well!
