This Brian Monty Flying V replica is a stunning remake of the ultra-rare original.  It is said that Monty made his V replicas as bench copies of Steven Segal's genuine 1958 Flying V (serial # 83172) when he was commissioned by Segal to make copies of his vintage V so he could play them on stage.

Light ageing and vintage parts lend to the realistic look of the guitar, and Brian's craftsmanship brings the playability.  The guitar is extremely light and resonant and it plays perfectly.

Vintage parts include: 50s Gibson knobs, an early 60s ABR-1 with retaining wire, single line/single ring tuners, 50's truss rod cover, 50's/early 60s PAF pickup covers, NOS "tread" material on the lower leg of the V.

The pickguard is a replica and the neck pickup is a Duncan Antiquity.  The pickup rings are not vintage.

The case is a rare Gibson Custom Shop V case.
