Vox AC30TBX Korg Era 2001 Made in England

This 2001 Vox AC30TBX from the desirable Korg era is a Made in England example of one of the most iconic amplifiers in rock history. The TBX model represents the classic Top Boost AC30 circuit, delivering the unmistakable Vox chime, compression, and harmonic richness that defined countless recordings. Korg-era AC30s are widely respected for their build quality and faithful recreation of the vintage Vox voice, making them especially sought after among players and collectors.

One speaker in this amp was changed, leaving one of the original Celestion Alnico Blue with a Vox labeled Vintage 30.  The character of the two speakers combine for some killer tone.  This also allows the user to mic both speakers to work with the best of each in the studio or onstage.  

Some caps in the amp have been changed out for higher quality parts, like the Sozo caps you can see in our in-chassis pictures.

This example shows some wear but not abuse, and it performs exactly as it should, offering that authentic British Vox tone in a dependable, gig-ready package. It’s a fantastic choice for players chasing classic AC30 character without the fragility of a vintage ’60s original.

As with all amplifiers at Mahar’s Vintage Guitars, it has been fully inspected, photographed accurately, and professionally evaluated to ensure dependable performance.  We tested all the tubes, replacing the rectifier tube in the process to make sure everything is good to go on arrival.  Tube sockets and pots were cleaned as well.

When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently.  Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping.  We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
