We've had several clean, collector-quality 60's Princeton Reverb through the shop lately, and now we've got one that'll be more affordable while being gig ready.

Here's the scoop!  The baffle is a non-original plywood replacement. The speaker is a Weber VST P10N replacement — the original speaker is not included. The power transformer is a 1969 Schumacher replacement, the same used in a later Princeton but not original to the amp. Filter caps have been replaced. A non-original footswitch pedal included. All potentiometers, the reverb tank, knobs, the handle, the grille cloth, the tolex, and the chassis are original. The cabinet is pine, original, and in very good condition with no repairs noted. All tubes are current-production JJ — 3x ECC83, 1x ECC81, 2x 6V6, and a GZ34 rectifier, tested prior to listing to make sure they're good to go on arrival. The power cable is grounded. No case or cover is included.

The AA764 circuit debuted in 1964 and ran through the mid-CBS era. The 1967 date places this amp in the transitional CBS period — the circuit itself remains consistent with the pre-CBS AA764 design with caps and resistors updated throughout. The output transformer is a Schumacher dated to the 25th week of 1966, which is original to the amp. The reverb transformer is also original. The Princeton Reverb in this era runs two 6V6 power tubes through a GZ34 rectifier, which contributes the characteristic sag and dynamic response the circuit is known for.

Shipping Policy
By completing your purchase you are agreeing to this shipping policy. Shipments require signature on delivery, no exceptions. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely. If there is damage, retain all packing materials intact, photograph them immediately, and send the photos to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.

Amplifiers: We take additional precautions to prevent common shipping damage. Depending on the amp, this may include removing tubes, pulling the chassis from the cabinet if heavy transformers present a drop risk, or removing heavy speakers that could crack baffles in transit. Reassembly is required on delivery — we label everything clearly. These measures add to shipping costs but reflect hard-won experience. Vintage amplifiers (20 years or older) are sold as-is — all amps are tested in our shop upon intake and again before shipping. We cover shipping damage but cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in instruments that are 20 to 50-plus years old.
