Death By Audio stompboxes are handmade in New York City. The Moonbeam Phaser is part of the company's Destroyer Series — a smaller-format lineup that doesn't sacrifice any of the company's characteristic depth and weirdness for the more compact enclosure. At its core, the Moonbeam houses two fully analog 6-stage phase shifter engines running in true stereo, giving the player access to six genuinely distinct phaser characters from a single pedal rather than the one-trick circuit that most phasers offer.

The phase selector ranges from one to six stages: stage one is a sweeping high-pass filter and tremolo, stage two a sweeping notch filter with resonant peaks, stage three a cross between a phaser and harmonic tremolo, stage four the most famous classic phaser sound, stage five adds intense resonance and treble focus, and stage six delivers a full, bassy, chewy phaser tone. The 4-stage mode sounds nearly equivalent to a favorite script-style MXR Phase 90, except the Moonbeam's 4-stage mode is capable of that and much more — minimum depth settings make it ideal for players who rarely switch their phasers off, generating subtle animation that enlivens arpeggios, leads, and simple strumming. Higher depth settings help the Moonbeam approximate a Small Stone's color switch mode, as well as a fast-pulsing Leslie speaker. The FREQ control ranges from ultra-slow 0.006Hz harmonic drifts to lightning-fast 130Hz sweeps — a genuinely enormous modulation range that spans from imperceptibly slow ambient movement to ring-modulator territory. Color-coded LED feedback displays the active stage and tracks the modulation in real time. TRS stereo input and output make it equally suited to guitar, bass, or synth rigs, and the stereo operation is ideal for bigger pedalboards or creative studio setups.

Near mint condition, complete with the original box and manual.
