This 2004 Bad Cat Trem Cat 30 1x12 Combo is a boutique, hand-built amplifier that blends classic British chime with American-style fullness, delivering one of the most expressive and dynamic tones Bad Cat has ever produced. Built during the brand’s highly regarded early years, the Trem Cat 30 is revered for its rich harmonic complexity, exceptional touch sensitivity, and studio-quality tremolo circuit.
The amp is in like-new condition. We traded it in from a good customer who has loads of amps, so none of them get a lot of use. This one has been stored in a really nice cover too. We tested all the tubes to make sure they're good to go. As for the year - what I found online is that the serial numbers beginning with 24 are from 2004.
The amp sounds awesome and it is built like a tank! See our shipping policy for info on how we deliver these safely.
The 30-watt power section provides ample headroom for shimmering cleans while offering smooth, harmonically rich breakup when pushed. Clean tones are three-dimensional and articulate, with piano-like lows and sweet, open highs that never get harsh. The tremolo is deep, lush, and musical—one of the standout features of this amp—adding movement and texture without overpowering the core tone. Paired with a 1x12 speaker configuration, the Trem Cat delivers a perfect balance of punch, warmth, and clarity for stage or studio use.
As with all amplifiers at Mahar’s Vintage Guitars, it has been fully inspected, photographed accurately, and evaluated for performance and authenticity.
We buy, sell, and take trades.

Shipping policy:
When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping. These cases require the buyer to re-install them on delivery - it is very easy with this amp, and we label them so you know exactly where to put them. We remove the chassis of amps with heavy transformers and ship them separately as their weight can distort the chassis if the box is dropped in shipping. We remove heavy speakers from amps as they can crack baffles, especially amps with particle board chassis. These cases require customers to reassemble amps. It also costs us more. The shipping cost is higher as a result. We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure. Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently. Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping. We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
