Yes, this is yet another 1958 Gibson TV Les Paul Special!  This one is a beauty - sporting a professional refret and bone nut, otherwise it is all original.  This example delivers exactly what a 50's LP Special promises: warm, full-throated midrange with clear single-coil articulation and enough output to push an amp into glorious, natural overdrive. The original pickups read within a fraction of each other (7.85k neck, 7.87k bridge). Overall condition is excellent, and it weighs in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces.

The Les Paul TV Special was Gibson's working-musician, stage-ready alternative to the fancier Les Paul models of the late 1950s. The TV designation referred to the limed mahogany finish — later standardized as TV Yellow — which photographed cleanly under early television studio lighting. It shared the junior-spec slab mahogany body construction and 24.75" scale with the Les Paul Junior, but came with two P-90 soapbars instead of one, a three-way Switchcraft toggle, and four controls. The Brazilian fretboard has some killer looking grain, and it is in excellent condition. The chunky rounded medium-to-full C-shape neck profile — consistent with late-'50s Gibson production — is a large part of why players continue to seek these guitars out.

The original chipboard case is included but is in less-than-poor condition — it is literally falling apart and is beyond restoration. We will ship this guitar in a modern Guardian rectangle hardshell case, which is included and in very good condition. No other accessories or documentation are included.
