This 1990 Fender Vibroverb Reissue 2x10 combo amplifier delivers the legendary tone of the original 1963 brownface classic with the reliability of modern components. Wrapped in vintage-style brown tolex with wheat grille cloth, this early reissue captures the aesthetics and sonic richness that made the Vibroverb a favorite among blues and roots players.
This example is in excellent cosmetic condition. The transformers and speakers are original. Some work has been done to the circuit, very professionally I might add.
There are three micro switches added to the chassis, between preamp tubes. One is a normal/bright/brighter switch. The next is normal/mid cut/more mid cut. The next is normal/boost/more boost. Aside from the three holes added to the chassis, there seems to be one side effect of the work. The reverb seems to be boosted - it operates just a touch, even when the reverb level is on zero. The useable range is from zero to 1. Above that, the reverb goes parabolic! Turning it off completely requires you to hit the original footswitch.
The tremolo works as expected, and it sounds killer in this series of amps! Everything else works as usual as well.
The amp sounds so good - this might be the best Fender reissue, and as such they've really come into their own recently.
Non original, period correct cover included.
Loaded with two 10-inch speakers, tube-driven reverb and vibrato, this 40-watt all-tube combo offers lush cleans, dynamic breakup, and expressive modulation—perfect for studio sessions and stage use. The circuit closely follows the original 6L6-powered design, known for its punchy mids, glassy highs, and warm low-end character.
This example is in excellent condition for its age, fully functional, and sounds incredible. Whether you're chasing SRV-style blues tones or a versatile vintage platform for pedals, this USA-made Fender Vibroverb Reissue delivers in spades.
