Fender Harvard 5F10 Tweed Amp 1958 – Vintage Tube Combo Signed by “Lily,” Collector Grade

This rare and highly sought-after 1958 Fender Harvard 5F10 Tweed Combo Amp represents one of the finest examples of Fender's golden-era tube tone. Featuring the original tweed covering, Jensen P10R speaker, and the classic 5F10 circuit, this amp delivers the sweet, articulate breakup and vintage warmth that made it a favorite of players like Steve Cropper.

This is my favorite Fender amp.  It isn't cut out for the stage, but it kills everywhere else.  

This example is everything you want in a Harvard.  It is remarkably clean and it still has its original transformers and speaker.

The amp has been serviced prior to its arrival here, and the tech who worked on it did everything just as I would have.  Replaced electrolytic caps are hidden in the original sleeves.  The original parts were retained and will be shipped with the amp.  

The power cable was swapped with a grounded one, and a gray colored one was used to keep the authentic look.  The handle was changed, and the original is included with the old parts and power cable.  

The original speaker is likely reconed, also very authentically.  It sounds like it has been broken in but doesn't sound all worn out.

A nice group of vintage tubes are included.  Tubes were checked, but they come with no guarantee as they are vintage, US made tubes.  They'll likely last you for years just the same.

The amp runs strong and quiet.  It sounds perfect.

Even more special, the inside chassis is factory-signed by "Lily", one of Fender’s legendary line workers whose signature has become synonymous with vintage authenticity and quality. This amp remains in remarkably original condition, with key components intact, including the power and output transformers, control panel, and tweed covering with beautiful lacquer patina.

With approximately 10 watts of output through a 10-inch speaker, the Harvard 5F10 sits between the Champ and Deluxe in both volume and headroom, making it a versatile studio and small-stage amp. This piece is collector-grade and also a functional piece of recording history for any tone purist.

We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently.  Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping.  We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps.
