This 2014 Rickenbacker 4003 Bass in classic Fireglo finish is a near-mint example of one of the most iconic electric basses ever made. Combining unmistakable looks, superb craftsmanship, and legendary tone, the 4003 continues Rickenbacker’s tradition of excellence dating back to the early 1960s.

This U.S.-made instrument features a maple body and neck-through construction for unparalleled sustain and clarity, paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard and distinctive triangle inlays.

The bass came in with a collection of instruments that were purchased new by the previous owner and rarely played.  The only apparent wear is a light scuff on a small area of the back edge.  The frets look new.  There are no changes, repairs, or issues.  The bass set up nicely for us.  It is a gorgeous piece!

The dual single-coil pickups produce that instantly recognizable Rickenbacker growl—bright, defined, and harmonically rich—equally at home in rock, prog, and alternative music. The 4003’s stereo output (Rick-O-Sound) allows for creative signal routing, while the updated truss rod system and high-quality hardware make setup and maintenance effortless. This bass is all original, in exceptional condition, and comes complete with its original hard shell case and paperwork.

There are multiple shipping cost options for purchases made on our site.  Select Ground, 3 Day, 2 Day, or Next Day Air Saver.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
