This Fender 2019 Mustang Bass PJ in Torino Red is in excellent condition.

It has an alder body in Torino Red with a 3-ply mint green pickguard, a maple neck with a C profile, and a Pau Ferro fretboard with 19 frets. Everything is original, and the body, neck, frets and finish all rate excellent.

This short-scale bass has a 30" scale and weighs 7 lbs 10.5 oz. It has a vintage-style split-coil Precision pickup in the middle and a vintage-style single-coil Jazz pickup at the bridge, with a 3-position toggle. The truss rod has room for future adjustment, and the action is 3/32" at the 12th fret. It does not come with a case.

Fender introduced the Mustang Bass in 1966 as a companion to its short-scale Mustang guitars, and it was the last original bass design Leo Fender did before leaving the company. It has a 30" scale that makes it easier to reach the lower frets, and the original had a single split-coil pickup. Bill Wyman and Tina Weymouth are among the players known for short-scale Mustang basses. In 2016 Fender showed the Mustang Bass PJ at Summer NAMM, swapping in a Precision pickup and adding a Jazz pickup at the bridge. Torino Red was one of the three original colors when the PJ launched, along with Olympic White and Sonic Blue.
