The Suhr Hedgehog 50 is a handwired boutique 50-watt tube amplifier that blends classic American clean tones with harmonically rich overdrive, delivering unmatched versatility for stage and studio use. The Hedgehog 50 features a single-channel design with multiple voicing options, responsive EQ, tube-driven reverb, and an included programmable foot controller, allowing players to switch seamlessly between pristine cleans, edge-of-breakup crunch, and saturated lead tones. Powered by 6L6 tubes, it delivers dynamic headroom and touch-sensitive response, making it a favorite for blues, rock, fusion, and modern session work.

Flexible voicing switches are accessible via the front panel and stored in presets. The voicing options include an overdrive gain stage, two levels of deep boost, mid and bright. Save presets of your voicing, boost, and effects loop modes for instant recall via the included 4 button footswitch or third-party MIDI controller.

Hedgehog is made in their Lake Elsinore, CA factory in the United States using a combination of circuit board and point-to-point wiring, producing an amp that is reliable and easy to service.

A gain boost is selectable and programmable from the front panel along with the mode of the effects loop, which can operate in series or parallel modes.

Shipping policy:

When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  These cases require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently.  Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping.  We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 10-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
