There's just no substitute for a 50 watt Marshall.  This 1987 JCM800 is a model 2205 from 1987.

I went through the amp completely to look for changes or issues, finding none with the exception of some tubes that needed to be changed out after testing them all.  I cleaned all the pots and tube sockets.

The filter cap cans had already been changed when the amp arrived here.

If you aren't aware, you not only get the classic Marshall crunch - these amps are capable of some amazing, full and powerful clean tones.  These late 980s amps also have foot-switchable lead channels, reverb and an effects loop.  No footswitch included.

The amp isn't perfectly clean, but it is in better shape than most I see.

The original transformers are in place, and only the filter caps have been changed as a maintenance move.
