Yet another entry in our tweed collection, this 1958 Fender Tweed Deluxe 5E3 in all-original, untouched condition.

It is getting tough to find an example like this one, an amp with no repairs, changes or mods with clean tweed etc.  This one is a museum piece for sure!  It is fully functional and sounds amazing.

We powered it up on our variac, which is a good idea with an old, original amp like this.  I would recommend a filter cap replacement if your intent is to use the amp regularly and/or if you don't have a variac on hand to bring the amp up slowly.  I can do the work for the next owner prior to shipment, including adding a grounded power cable if desired.  I would house the new caps in the old covers to keep the vintage look, and the original parts would go with the amp.  Until a buyer is ready to go, we're just going to leave the amp as it is.
