The 1967 Fender Dual Showman Silverface Drip Edge Head is a classic workhorse amplifier from the golden age of Fender. Introduced during the CBS transition era, this powerful tube amp delivers legendary clean headroom and punch, making it a favorite for surf, country, blues, and rock players who need stage-filling sound. Rated at 85 watts, the Dual Showman was designed to handle larger venues with ease, offering sparkling cleans, rich low-end, and remarkable clarity even at higher volumes.

This early drip edge Silverface model (with aluminum trim around the grille) represents a highly desirable transitional period before later circuit changes. Inside, you’ll find the AB763-inspired circuitry, laid out like the black panel amps of 1966 and earlier, paired with Fender’s robust build quality. The amp is spared the changes of the late 60s and 70s Fender amps.  Musicians have long admired the Dual Showman for its versatility—whether as a clean platform for pedals or as a pure Fender voice with unmatched dynamics.

This 1967 head remains in excellent condition, serviced for reliable playability while preserving its vintage integrity. The amp runs strong and quiet.  The tremolo sounds killer.

The filter caps have been changed out, along with the bypass and bias caps.  A newer, grounded power cable has been installed as well.  The output transformer is replaced with a correct one from the mid 90s.  All the work was checked here in our shop and deemed to be professionally performed.  We cleaned the pots and tube sockets and tested all the tubes.  The 6L6 JJ tubes are brand new.

When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  These cases require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery - it is very easy with this amp.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently.  Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping.  We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
