The 1963 Fender Deluxe Amp (6G3 circuit) in Brown Tolex stands among the most sought-after vintage tube amps of the early ‘60s. Known for its rich breakup, dynamic touch response, and singing sustain, the 6G3 Brown Deluxe has become a favorite for blues, country, and early rock players seeking authentic tweed-like drive with brown-panel refinement.

This particular amp has seen some desirable service and a couple changes.  It is equipped with a step-down transformer, mounted in the bottom of the amp.  This makes it easy to use in the EU and UK, allowing the transformer to connect to their standard power, which gets stepped down to 120v. It delivers the hallmark tones that bridge the gap between Fender’s Tweed and Black Panel eras—lush cleans at lower volumes and gritty, harmonically complex overdrive when pushed.

The brown tolex, the grille and baffle are original.  The handle is changed.  The power transformer is original.  The output transformer is a high-quality replacement.  The speaker is a 1966 Jensen C12NA.  It sounds amazing in this amp.

Having been cosmetically well-preserved and carefully serviced, it remains both a player’s dream and a collector’s prize.

All the electrolytic caps have been updated.  The pots and tube sockets were cleaned, and the tubes tested.  The tunes are all vintage, and they definitely contribute to the killer tone.

We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  These cases require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery - it is very easy with this amp.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently.  Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping.  We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
