This unbranded hand-wired amplifier is a high-quality reproduction of a vintage JMI-era Vox AC15, built with premium components and outfitted with Mercury Magnetics transformers for authentic tone and reliability.  The vVox branded Celestion Blue speaker definitely adds to the package.

There is little compromise here over a vintage Vox.  This amp has all the tone!  Everyone who has plugged into this amp has been blown away, and everyone thinks it it is a vintage amp.

Inspired by the legendary copper panel 1960s AC15 circuit, it delivers the chime, midrange bite, and harmonically rich breakup that defined the sound of the British Invasion. The hand-wired turret board construction ensures vintage-correct signal flow and easy serviceability, while Mercury transformers provide improved headroom, clarity, and touch sensitivity.  All the amp's components are the highest quality and the work was perfectly performed.  The JMI branded control panel has to be a reproduction.

The amp features classic EF86 voicing, tube rectification, and EL84 power tubes for true AC15 dynamics—responsive cleans, smooth overdrive, and sparkling highs that pair beautifully with single coils or humbuckers. This unit is in excellent condition, electrically sound, and offers boutique-level craftsmanship without the boutique price tag.

Shipping policy:

When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  These cases require the buyer to re-install them on delivery - it is very easy with this amp, and we label them so you know exactly where to put them.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently.  Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping.  We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
