The 1976 Guild F-50 BLD Blonde is a standout example of Guild’s flagship jumbo acoustic, prized for its commanding voice, exceptional craftsmanship, and elegant blonde finish. Built in Guild’s Westerly, Rhode Island factory, the F-50 was designed to compete head-to-head with Gibson’s J-200, offering players a huge, balanced tone with shimmering highs, rich lows, and a full midrange presence.

This vintage jumbo features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with beautifully figured maple back and sides, delivering the projection and clarity that have made the F-50 a favorite among professional performers and recording artists. The three-piece mahogany and maple neck with an ebony fingerboard offers smooth playability, while the large 17" body ensures an expansive, room-filling sound.
The BLD (Blonde) finish gives this guitar a stunning visual appeal, with natural maple grain complemented by Guild’s classic abalone inlays and bound headstock. Whether you’re a flatpicker, strummer, or fingerstyle player, the F-50 responds with warmth, volume, and precision—making it a perfect choice for both stage and studio.
This guitar is in played but excellent vintage condition, well-preserved and ready to inspire for decades to come.
The frets are original and they have decades of life left in them. The neck plays perfectly, and the truss rod has room for future neck relief adjustments. There was once a pickup system in the guitar. The battery holder and cable stays are still inside the body. There is a small hole in the bridge plate for the previously installed, under-saddle pickup. There is a small crack next to the saddle that has been glued. It never made it to the edge of the bridge and is 100% stable. The endpin is likely changed, as it was once the output jack for the pickup. The rest of the guitar is original and shows wear around the edges, a scrape on the lower bout, and general playwear that gives it vintage character.
The case is a Guild branded one, but it is newer than the guitar.
