This 2009 Guild Bluesbird with a stunning quilted maple top is a beautifully built modern classic.

Unmistakably high-end, the Bluesbird offers a slightly sleeker take on the traditional carved-top formula.  The quilted maple top over a chambered mahogany body provides a rich tonal foundation: warm, full lows, a focused midrange, and articulate highs.  It resonates beautifully, plays effortlessly, and showcases the quality and attention to detail that defined Guild’s higher-end electric production during this period.

I've always been a fan of these guitars and find them to be a true sleeper in the market.  They're extremely well made, and I've never found a doggy one.

This example is in beautiful condition.  Someone played it a bit but obviously took good care of it.  There is some light and even fret wear, but nowhere near enough to need any work.

The guitar is loaded with a set of Bare Knuckle pickups, a nice upgrade that required new pickup rings and two new, small screw holes in the top to accommodate them.  The original pots remain, and no other changes were made to the guitar.

A nice hardshell case is included.  It does appear to be the original case.

As with all instruments at Mahar’s Vintage Guitars, it has been fully inspected, photographed accurately, and professionally set up to play its absolute best.

We buy, sell, and take trades.
