This 2007 Gibson '59 Reissue Melody Maker has been fitted with an actual 60's Melody Maker pickup as the original pickup was in fact quite lame and not very vintage sounding at all.  So, you get the playability of a modern Melody Maker with the sound of the original!

The pickup change did require alteration of the pickup cavity to accommodate the larger base of the vintage pickup.  The original pickup is included.  The cover for the vintage pickup would not fit in the pickguard so it is included as well.

The guitar has been subject to finish relic work by a previous owner.

The frets are nearly new and the guitar sets up really well.  There is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustment.

Gator hard case included.  These guitars came from Gibson with a gig bag.
