Fender Jazz Bass 50th Anniversary Candy Apple Red Near Mint 2010

This 2010 Fender 50th Anniversary Jazz Bass is a real looker - a case queen that was stashed when purchased and apparently never used.  The factory plastic protective film is still present on the tuners and the pickguard.  The frets show little to no wear.

A look around the interwebs found that there were just shy of 800 of these basses made by Fender.  Limited issues like this aren't always instruments that go up in value, but you don't see many of these out there on the market and Fender did a really nice job on this one, so this is likely to be a good investment down the road.

Two condition notes: there is some natural finish checking on the headstock, running parallel to the strings.  This was really hard to photograph - it doesn't jump out in person.  There is also a small stain on the back of the neck, behind the nut, that appears to be from the case lining dye somehow bleeding into the finish on the neck.  We tried very lightly to remedy this with little luck.  It looks superficial in person, but it does not just wipe off.  The area feels the same as the rest of the neck.

The bass set up nicely and the truss rod has room for future neck relief adjustment.

The original case is included, along with the paperwork and goodies originally sent with the bass from Fender.
