The Wampler Plexi-Drive is a boutique overdrive pedal designed to capture the sound and feel of a cranked late-’60s Marshall Plexi amplifier. This 2013 version delivers rich British crunch, tight lows, and harmonically complex mids with amp-like dynamics. Whether it's classic rock rhythm tones or searing lead lines, the Plexi-Drive responds naturally to pick attack and your guitar’s volume control—just like the amps that inspired it.
This example is in excellent condition and comes with the original box. It features controls for Gain, Volume, and Tone, plus a Bass Boost switch for beefier low-end when used with smaller combos or single-coil guitars. Renowned for stacking well with boosts and other drives, it has become a favorite among players seeking authentic Marshall-style drive without the volume of a full tube head.
