This rare 1960s Vox Mark IX 9-string teardrop electric guitar is a true gem from the golden age of Euro guitar innovation.

Made in Italy during Vox’s Eko era, the Mark IX features a distinctive teardrop body, three vintage single-coil pickups, and the unique 9-string configuration (with octave strings on the lower three courses).

It delivers bright, jangly tones perfect for psychedelic rock, British Invasion, and experimental pop.

A visually iconic and sonically unique vintage guitar that’s highly sought after by collectors and players alike, this Vox Mark IX remains a standout example of 1960s craftsmanship and style.

The guitar is all original and is in excellent cosmetic condition.  The necks on these always require shims to get them to set up well, which is the case here.  This allows the neck angle to be set to get better tension over the bridge.  This one plays as well as any Italian Vox I've had, and I've had a bunch.

Shipping policy:
There are two shipping cost options for purchases made on our site for these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas.  Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air.  Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
