This 2025 Two-Rock Burnside is a lightly used example - a premium head-and-cabinet set built for players who love classic American tweed-style breakup but want the refinement, clarity, and dimensional feel Two-Rock amplifiers are known for.
We are an authorized Two Rock dealer so we can order you a new one, but when a perfect used example like this comes up we can't blame you for buying a used one. This rig in this configuration is about $4000 new.
Inspired by vintage 1950s circuits yet modernized with higher headroom and improved dynamic response, the Burnside is one of Two-Rock’s most expressive lower-gain amps. This mint-condition example includes both the suede head and matching 1x12 cabinet, along with a nice set of Studio Slips covers.
With a simple control layout—Volume, Treble, Bass & Presence—the Burnside rewards touch sensitivity and guitar volume manipulation. The amp can move from sparkling clean tones to warm compression and harmonically rich overdrive. The suede upholstery adds a boutique visual flair, and the open-back 1x12 cab delivers resonant, room-filling projection.
Two Rock's description of the amp:
"The Burnside is our version of the legendary wide panel tweed circuit, and combines the dynamics and touch sensitivity of a vintage tweed amp with the modern clarity of a Two-Rock. The Burnside will instantly give you that classic vibe and feel along with the reliability and performance of a new amplifier.
This amp features a pair of 6L6’s producing 28 watts, with a GZ34 tube rectifier, and a 12AY7 in the preamp. You can swap this tube with a 12AX7 to increase the available gain in the amplifier. The user-friendly front panel control layout features a Bright switch, VOLUME, TREBLE, BASS, and PRESENCE controls. One of the great features of this amp, much like vintage tweed amps, is how the tone and volume controls interact with one another. At any volume, the gain is dependent on how hard you are attacking the strings, and when you turn the bass control all the way up, the bass imparts that horn-like, trombone low-end response.
This amp features a passive effects loop and 4, 8, and 16 OHM speaker outputs. The compact format amp chassis is finished in an elegant bronze color with cream lettering, and we’ve made a departure from birch to pine cabinets for more of that vintage feel and attack."
All gear at Mahar’s Vintage Guitars is fully inspected, photographed accurately, and professionally evaluated. We buy, sell, and trade fine amplifiers and guitars daily.

Shipping policy:
When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping. These cases require the buyer to re-install them on delivery - it is very easy with this amp, and we label them so you know exactly where to put them. We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure. Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently. Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping. We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
