This 1991 Tom Anderson Drop Top is a custom build - one of two that exist in this wood combo.

Our friend and customer, Bruce Harvie, has been known for decades as a source for the tonewoods for high end guitar construction.  He commissioned the build of this particular guitar, supplying the beautiful, old growth redwood slab that is the back of the body of this beautiful guitar.  

Bruce played this guitar regularly for years and brought it in on consignment recently.  You can see the mojo everywhere, and you can feel it when you play it as well.  The frets must have been replaced, judging from their condition and the wear on the rest of the guitar.

As one of the earliest Drop Top models, this guitar represents a pivotal era in Anderson’s history, when his instruments began to set the standard for modern boutique electric guitars.

The lightweight redwood body delivers a warm, resonant tone with incredible sustain, while the Drop Top design enhances comfort and aesthetics. There are multiple shipping cost options for purchases made on our site.  Select Ground, 3 Day, 2 Day, or Next Day Air Saver.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
