This Pagani Bros single-0 size acoustic guitar from the early 1900s is a rare example of turn-of-the-century European luthiery, offering delicate craftsmanship, dry vintage tone, and remarkable historical charm. Built with all solid woods and traditional construction methods, this small-body guitar delivers a focused, intimate voice with pronounced midrange and excellent note separation—ideal for parlor playing, fingerstyle, and early blues or folk repertoire. The guitar mirrors the coveted work of Larson Brothers.

The compact size-0 body is lightweight and highly resonant, producing a warm, woody response that only comes from well-seasoned century-old tonewoods. Natural aging throughout the instrument gives it an honest, played-in feel without compromising its structural integrity.

This guitar has some serious potential to be a ringer - it is light and extremely resonant.  It does need work.  There is a center seam separation on the top that looks like it will be very simple to close up.  The neck will need a reset to be playable, and the frets really need to be replaced for the guitar to be enjoyed.  The body is remarkably crack-free.  The bridge may have been reglued or even replaced at some point.  The top is in great shape, despite the seam separation - it isn't all distorted and warped.  There are a few pieces of the cool neck inlay missing.

At Mahar’s Vintage Guitars, every vintage acoustic is inspected, photographed accurately, and represented honestly. We buy, sell, and accept trades. See our Vintage Acoustic Guitars Collection or Sell or Trade Your Gear page.
