JKM guitars are made in Ireland and represent a small-run, hand-made alternative to the major acoustic brands. The 514 is their grand auditorium format — a body style that sits between a dreadnought and a parlor in both volume and responsiveness, making it versatile for fingerpicking and moderate strumming alike. The maple binding on both top and back contrasts cleanly against the rosewood and spruce, and the clear pickguard keeps the top visible. The 1-3/4" nut width and relatively flat 16" radius suggest a player-focused setup oriented toward comfortable chord work and single-note lines without excess string tension. Irish lutherie at this level of spec — Engelmann spruce, solid rosewood, Gotoh hardware, Tusq nut and saddle — reflects thoughtful material selection across the build.

The guitar plays perfectly and has been well cared for before its arrival here.  The frets show little wear.  It is set up with low, comfortable action and sounds beautiful.

Engelmann spruce over rosewood in a grand auditorium body with a 25.5" scale length and 16" fretboard radius produces a well-balanced, articulate instrument — the spruce top delivers clarity and note separation, while the rosewood back and sides contribute warmth and sustain in the low-mids. The pinless rosewood bridge and Tusq saddle keep string transfer clean and direct. This JKM 514 comes in at excellent condition throughout — top, back, sides, neck, and fretboard all show no issues. Action is a low and even 2/32" on both the first and sixth strings at the 12th fret. A K&K Pure Mini pickup with volume control is installed as an original feature, so it's stage-ready without modification. Gotoh 510 matte black tuners at an 18:1 gear ratio round out a well-specified package.

We find no issues to report. No cracks, no repairs, no non-original parts, and no odor. The original finish is intact and in excellent shape. The guitar comes with its original JKM-branded Hiscox molded case, also in excellent condition, and documentation is included. Strings are a 12-56 drop D set.
