Heather Brown learned her craft working for Mike Matthews of Electro-Harmonix and Robert Keeley — two of the most significant figures in American effects pedal design and manufacturing. What she took from those two apprenticeships and applied to her own boutique operation is evident in The Blessed Mother: a pedal with a clear point of view, built entirely by hand with quality parts and no corners cut. Every unit is built, tested, and shipped by Heather herself.

At the core of The Blessed Mother is a classic overdrive sound wonderfully suited for just about any musical style. The supernatural combination of germanium and silicon diodes generates a uniquely raw yet velvety tone — the Immaculator blend function lets you dial in your clean signal, allowing you to preserve or purify your guitar's original character to your liking. Separate treble and bass controls let you tailor the feel, but this pedal's specialty is its powerful midrange that cuts through no matter where on the neck you're playing. The result is a pedal that works equally well as a first-stage overdrive, a clean boost, or a tone-shaping tool in a complex signal chain — and is unusually quiet even with gain and blend cranked all the way.

True bypass switching, runs on 9V or 18V DC. The halo LED stays lit at all times, and the heart lights up when engaged — because, as the builder puts it, God's mom deserves it. Near mint condition, 2024 production.
