This 1967 Epiphone Texan FT79N is a beautifully preserved, all-original acoustic from the revered Kalamazoo factory era, built under Gibson’s stewardship. Known for its association with artists like Paul McCartney, the Texan FT79N is one of the most iconic slope-shoulder dreadnoughts of the 1960s — and this example is in near mint condition, complete with its original Epiphone chipboard case.

This guitar is stunningly clean, and it also sounds amazing.  It plays perfectly too!  There are a few small dings and the finish shows light checking.  There are no cracks, repairs, or changes whatsoever.  It has even been spared a neck heel strap button.  Included is a letter about the original owner.  The guitar is called out as a 1965 there, but the serial number is from 1967.  The original case is in incredible condition as well.

Featuring a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a classic rosewood fingerboard, this Texan delivers the rich, woody tone and projection vintage players crave. The longer 25.5" scale length offers added clarity and dynamic range, while the adjustable bridge gives players tonal flexibility. A warm natural finish, impeccable playability, and excellent structural integrity make this 1967 FT79N a standout for both collectors and performers.

A rare opportunity to own a collector-grade vintage Epiphone acoustic from the golden age of American guitar building.
