We're always proud to bring you epic Martin guitars like this one.

This 000-21 is one of just 137 made in 1945, the highest production total for any year of the model.

Fitting between the 18 and 28 series, the 000-21 features an Adirondack spruce top with Brazilian rosewood back and sides,  The rosette is in herringbone, a nice touch on the beautiful face of this rare guitar.

The bracing changed in 1944 from the famed scalloped bracing to "tapered" bracing, which is present on this guitar.  Tapered bracing is lighter on the top than the "straight" bracing used by Martin in the late 40s.

One feature that feathered in from 1945 until taking hold in 1947 is the use of a steel T bar neck reinforcement.  Wartime rationing of materials stopped use of steel for Martin in 1942.  Using a rare earth magnet, floating it on the fretboard, reveals that there is likely to be a steel T bar in this neck.

The frets are original and are in remarkably great shape - not in need of replacement.

The finish throughout is original.  There is an area on the treble side of the body where the finish is worn to the wood and of course there is wear throughout, especially at the top, rear edge of the headstock.

There is but one repair.  There is a circular mark on the top between the bridge and the endpin.  The area received a small cleat on the underside of the top.

Importantly, the guitar retains its original bridge and bridge plate.  They are in remarkable condition as well.  The pickguard is also original, as is the end pin.  Even the bridge pins appear to be original.

The one area in need of repair is a section of wood binding on the back, along the lower edge.  The guitar also needs a neck reset.  The great thing is that everything else is A-OK with the guitar.  Generally you'd expect to have to replace frets when doing a neck reset, but that is not the case here!

Recent Martin hardshell case included.

The tuners are of the wartime Kluson ilk, with plastic buttons and no adjustment screw on the gear and no ferrules on the face of the headstock.  This was also due to wartime materials rationing.
